MahaDAO is Sponsoring a First-Of-Its-Kind Economic Hackathon!

At MahaDAO, we aim to provide a tool to protect against the chronic loss of purchasing power in fiat systems. Designing a new type of currency is challenging, so we’re inviting academics and researchers in macroeconomics and stablecoins to come together and present their inputs and findings on Sunday, 2nd May!

The ultimate goal is to create a digital currency that retains its relative value, is accessible to people globally & provides a fair model of governance. We’re also paying close attention to implementation, for the optimal solution must be a currency that is accepted and supports a high volume of transactions.

Our in-house economists have designed the GMU as the backbone of ARTH, but this is just the beginning. We must deeply explore the best design for a store of value, means of exchange, and future-footed governance.

As this is the inaugural event, we plan to have more hackathons in the future where we bring together the best minds to ideate and debate all aspects of the currency. Below are the first six academics we’ve invited to kick things off and dive deeper into the fundamentals of a future-proof currency:

2. Ganesh Viswanath-Natraj, Assistant Professor of Finance at Warwick Business School.

3. Moinak Maiti, Associate Professor at St. Petersburg University, Russia

4. Nikola Fabris, Vice-Governor of Central bank of Montenegro and Professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade.

5. Ingolf Gunnar Anton Pernice, research associate at Weizenbaum Institute and Humboldt University of Berlin

6. Darko Vukovic, Associate Professor at People`s Friendship University of Moscow, Russia
